Mango Nine

The Mango Nine is Nilai Spring’s most interesting among the three nines.

The 3056-meter layout offers golfers three outstanding holes –Nos. 1,6 and 9 –as it winds through a landscape of elevation changes.

Island Nine

Like the Mango nine, the Island Nine challenges players with three inventive holes –Nos. 10, 13 and 17.

Throughout its 3,083 metres, this dramatic tract challenges golfers with steeply-sloped hillsides, an abundance of water and numerous sand bunkers.

 

Pines Nine

The Pines nine measures at 3,018 metres features two par 4s of 385 metres and a long par 3 of 165 metres.

Strong golf shots and good putting are a must on this grouping of holes if hopes to equal par.

Local Rules :

1. OUT OF BOUNDS :Rule 27

A ball is out of bounds if all of it lies on or beyond the perimeter and marked by white stakes and / or line.

Mango Course

On or beyond the right of the Hole No. 1 marked by white line.

Beyond the Monsoon Drains running parallel on the left of Hole No.7, 8 & 9.


Island Course

On or beyond the right of the Hole No.14 &15 marked by white stakes and / or line.

Beyond the Monsoon Drains running parallel left of Hole No.10,11 &12.


Pines Course

Beyond the Monsoon Drains running parallel right of Hole No.19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27.


Note: Where both stakes and lines are present, the line shall take precedence

 

2. WATER HAZARD: Rule 26

2.1. Water Hazards are defined by yellow stakes or lines.
2.2. Lateral Water Hazards are defined by red stakes or lines.

3. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTION: Rule 24-1

3.1. Stones in bunkers
3.2. Distance Markers

 

4. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTION: Rule 24-2

Through the green a ball may be lifted and dropped one club length from the nearest point of relief, but not nearer the hole.


4.1. All young trees marked by white markings or stakes.
4.2. All flower beds, Playing from flower beds is strictly prohibited.
4.3. All buggy tracks and service roads unless marked otherwise.
4.4. All lighting poles, electrical boxes & cable markers.
4.5. Pump house, drainage sumps, sprinkler head or valve.
4.6. Halfway hut and storm shelters.
4.7. Directional or information signage.

 

5. EMBEDDED BALL: Rule 25-2

Through the green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch mark in theground, other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned anddropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. Theball when dropped must first strike a part of course through the green.

 

6. BUNKER

Bunker damaged by storm / rainfall is considered GUR .Free relief may be obtained anywhere in the bunker but not nearer to the hole.

 

7. DROP ZONE

Drop Zones when available is an additional option.

8.1. Normal Suspension: Three short notes of siren, repeated. Player may finish the hole but cannot start new hole.
8.2. Resume Play: Five short notes of the siren, repeated.
8.3. Dangerous Situation Suspension: One long blast of siren. Player MUST be discontinued immediately.

 

8. SIREN SIGNAL

8.1. Normal Suspension: Three short notes of siren, repeated. Player may finish the hole but cannot start new hole.
8.2. Resume Play: Five short notes of the siren, repeated.
8.3. Dangerous Situation Suspension: One long blast of siren. Player MUST be discontinued immediately.

Repair ball marks on the green

Rake the bunkers

Avoid slow play

Do not litter on the course

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES: 2 Strokes in Stroke Play/Loss of Hole in Match Play.
